Adjustment Procedure

1. Extreme backward position

When the moving knife moves at the maximum, its position is where
its front tip is withdrawn by 2.5 to 3mm from the needle center. (Other
than 9000B-SH)
(3 to 3.5mm for 9000B-SH)

2. Initial position

Coincidence of the moving knife outer periphery with the V-groove
engraved marker line on the knife-mounting base
Max. amount of withdrawal
2.5 to 3mm
3 to 3.5mm

Results of Improper Adjustment
<When the amount of withdrawal is
large>
o It becomes impossible to scoop
the needle thread or the bobbin
thread at the time of thread
trimming.
<When the amount of withdrawal is
small>
o Interference between the feed dog
and the moving knife
