Never apply more than the rated voltage (600V max) between the probe tips.
Try to use the unit with the retractable shrouds extended to minimise the risk of flashover.
When using the probe ensure your fingers are behind the finger guard.
Do not operate the tester around explosive gas, vapour or dust.
NEVER TOUCH THE EXPOSED METAL PROBE TIPS.

Cleaning
The unit may be cleaned using a soft dry cloth. Do not use moisture, abrasives, solvents, or
detergents, which can be conductive.
Repair & Service
There are no user serviceable parts in this unit other than fuses. Return to Martindale Electric if faulty.
Before returned, please check the unit, fuses, leads and poor connections
Storage Conditions
The instrument should be kept in warm dry conditions away from direct sources of heat or sunlight.

OPERATION
1. Observe all safety recommendations
before use.
2. Apply the flying probe to the earth or lower
voltage terminal (if known) with one hand
ensuring fingers are behind the guard.
DO NOT TOUCH METAL TIPS.
3. Touch the fixed probe to the suspected live
terminal. Neons will strike progressively
to indicate the presence of AC or DC voltage.
