Printer Operation Care
A. Overview
The Printer Operation Care (POC) program for the Océ VarioPrint
135/120/110 products enables the customer to perform limited service on the
Océ VarioPrint 135/120/110 products. In addition to changing toner, the end-
user operator is able to replace the separation feed rollers, heat exchange
foil, and the spiral cleaner as required based on the part life and service alerts
displayed on the Operator Panel. Canon USA, highly recommends utilizing
the POC program as a method to maintain machine uptime and reduce
service technician labor costs. See the Suggested Maintenance Agreement
Rates Section for details.
B. Program Benefits
The POC program provides an opportunity to increase customer satisfaction
with the VarioPrint 135/120/110 series by providing customers with greater
control over machine uptime and productivity.
Active maintenance by the customer benefits the service organization by
reducing work and travel time for the service technician. A reduction in labor
and travel will enable the service technician to focus on other machines that
may require greater attention and time.
C. Program Utilization
The customer has the option to purchase the Océ VarioPrint 135/120/110
products configured with the POC program or to purchase the Océ VarioPrint
135/120/110 products configured without the POC program. There are six
packages available (see

1. POC Program Enabled
A VarioPrint 135/120/110 purchased with the POC program, does not
require additional software. If the servicing dealer and customer choose
to perform POC, the customer must order the VarioPrint DP LINE POC
Kit-A1 (available for purchase). The kit contains the three (3) POC
program parts and two (2) tools required for the POC program (see
(Table 5, Page
