Apply:
• Sealant
(onto the crankcase mating surfaces)
3.
Install:
• Cover 1
• Cover 1 bolts "1" to "5"
TIP
Tighten the bolts to the specified torque in order from "1" to
"5".

INSTALLING THE COVER 2

1.
Install:
• Gasket
• Cover 2
• Cover 2 bolts "1" to "5"
TIP
Tighten the bolts to the specified torque in order from "1" to
"5".

CHECKING THE CRANKCASE COVER 1

1.
Check:
• Crankcase cover 1
Damage  Replace.
• Bearing
Noise/wear/rotational failure  Replace.

Cover 1 bolt:
9 N·m (0.9 kgf·m, 6.6 lb·ft)
New
Cover 2 bolt:
10 N·m (1.0 kgf·m, 7.4 lb·ft)
