When
you
transmit
a
signal,
the
meter
needle
indicates
a
point
and
moves
slightly
according to
your
voice
level.

Adjust
[RF
POWER]
to the desired
output
power
level.

Set
[MIC]
to the center
position.
•
To
increase
the
mic
gain,
rotate
[MIC]
clockwise.
5)
Release the
PTT
switch to return to
receiving.

TONE
TRANSMITTING
A
subaudible tone
is
often required to
access
HF
FM
repeaters.
The
optional
UI-7
AM

FM
UNIT
is
required to
transmit the subaudible tone. See

when
