When BIOS performs the Power On Self Test, it writes checkpoint codes to I/O port 0080h. If the computer cannot complete the boot process, a diagnostic card can be attached to the computer to read I/O port 0080h (Supermicro p/n AOC-LPC80-20). Appendix B Software Installation B.1 Installing Software Programs The Supermicro FTP site contains drivers and utilities for your system at ftp://ftp.supermicro. com. Some of these must be installed, such as the chipset driver. After accessing the FTP site, go into the CDR_Images directory and locate the ISO file for your motherboard.

Appendix D: UEFI BIOS Recovery 6. After the BIOS recovery process has completed, press any key to reboot the system. 7. Using a different system, extract the BIOS package into a bootable USB flash drive. 8. When a DOS prompt appears, enter FLASH.BAT BIOSname.### at the prompt. Note: Do not interrupt this process until the BIOS flashing is complete.
