FITTING Fitting must be done in a workshop environment, on a Before modifying clean, level base and with lifting capabilities for at least 500 kg (1,100 lbs). Ensure at least 3 meters (120") of free space in front of the machine (see overleaf). Make sure the drum is well cleaned. - Page 6 FITTING Fit the two M16 bolts (items 4, 5 and 6 in drawing 38 53 45). Fig. 3 Fitted M16 bolts Run the roller slowly forward until the drum is located with the first fitted drum shell at the bottom. Two wooden joists 50x70 mm (2x3") with bevelled ends.
- Page 7 FITTING Distribute the clearance between the pad shells. This is to ensure that the bolts fit properly. Fig. 6 Clearance between pad halves Lubricate the four fitting bolts (13) and fit them with the head upward in the outer positioned pads on both sides.
- Page 8 FITTING Fit the teeth on the PD scraper. Fig. 9 Fitting the teeth Fit the PD scraper 34 39 60 (item 2 in drawing 38 53 45). Weight about 220 kg (490 lbs). Keep well clear of the hoisted object. Ensure that hoisting hooks are securely anchored.

FITTING Adjust the scraper between scraper tooth and drum shell to a distance of about 25 mm (1"). It is important to remember that the drum tends to move as the machine turns. Consequently, if adjustments are made closer than the values specified above, the scrapers might be dam- aged or drum wear may increase. -
