CONTROL SOLUTION TESTING
FORA Control Solution contains a known amount of glucose that
reacts with test strips and is used to ensure your meter and test strips
are working together properly.
Do a control solution test:
˙when you first receive the meter,
˙at least once a week as a routine check of the meter and test strips,
˙when you begin using a new vial of test strips,
˙if you suspect that the meter or test strips are not working properly,
˙if your blood glucose test results are not consistent with how you
feel, or if you think the results are not accurate,
˙when practicing the testing process, or
˙if you drop or think you may have damaged the meter.
