When using infrared communication

Face the Infrared ports of the receiver's and
sender's FOMA terminal each other and set the
distance between them to approximately 20 cm
or less as shown.
While doing infrared communication, keep the
Infrared ports facing each other and do not move
them.
Infrared communication may not function
properly in areas of direct sunlight, directly under
fluorescent lights or near other equipment using
infrared signals.
If either of the Infrared ports is dirty, infrared
communication will become difficult. Take care
not to scratch the ports, and wipe off any dirt with
a soft cloth.
Sending and receiving by
Infrared
Insert a microSD Card in advance. However,
sending and receiving just single data may not
require the microSD Card.
When sending memos, bookmarks, etc., operate
from each function (menu).

Infrared port
In the home screen, [R]/[Send
and Receive by]
Select an item
Receive: Receive single data.
Receive all: Receive all data.
Data receiving begins if the entered
authentication code matches an
authentication code entered by the sender.
Send: Select data and send.
Set the receiving FOMA terminal to receive
data.
: As you operate the handset for receiving, set
the sender's FOMA terminal to send data.
: After the operation for receiving, the FOMA
terminal waits to receive data. Infrared
communication automatically begins when
data is sent from sender's FOMA terminal
within 30 seconds.
Note that if you select [Delete all before
registration] at receiving all data, all data
registered to the target function are deleted.
Receiving all data is not available depending on
the data type.
When available memory space in the save
destination becomes insufficient, the data being
received to that point are saved and receiving
ends.
IrSS™ communication performs
communication without confirming the response
of the receiver side, since it uses a simplex
communication. For this reason, the sender
side completes the communication normally
even if the receiver side does not.
