This chapter gives installation, configuration, and update/removal procedures for the driver for Windows 2000,
Windows 2003/XP/Vista/2008 (32-bit/64-bit), Windows 7/8/8.1/10 (32-bit/64-bit), Windows Server 2008
R2/2012/2012 R2/2016 (x64), WinCE, DOS, Linux (32-bit/64-bit), and SCO. Before proceeding with the
software installation, complete the hardware installation discussed in the previous chapter, "Hardware
Installation."
Refer to the next chapter, "Serial Programming Tools," for information about developing your own serial
programming applications. Note that you can install up to 8 Universal PCI boards in one system, provided
sufficient I/O address and IRQ number resources are available.
