5. Carburetor heater relay
• Remove the carburetor heater relay from
the wire harness.
• Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 1) and bat-
tery (DC 12 V) to the carburetor heater
relay coupler as shown.

6. Thermo switch 2
• Remove the thermo switch 2 from the wire
harness.
• Connect the pocket tester to the (Ω × 1) to
the thermo switch 2 as shown.
Positive tester probe → black 1
Negative tester probe → black 2
• Check the thermo switch 2 for continuity at
the temperatures indicated below.

• Does the thermo switch 2 operate prop-
erly?
