5. The oil level warning light fails to come on.
1. Oil level switch
• Drain the engine oil and remove the oil
level switch from the oil pan.
• Check the oil level switch for continuity.
Refer to "CHECKING THE SWITCHES".
• Is the oil level switch OK?
YES
2. Voltage
• Connect the pocket tester (DC 20 V) to the
meter assembly sub-wire harness coupler
(meter assembly side) as shown.
Positive tester probe → red/white 1
Negative tester probe → ground

• Set the main switch to "ON".
• Measure the voltage (DC 12 V) of red/
white 1 and ground at the meter assem-
bly sub-wire harness coupler.
• Is the voltage within specification?
YES
This circuit is OK.

Replace the oil level

6. The fuel meter fails to come on.
1. Fuel sender
• Drain the fuel and remove the fuel sender
from the fuel tank.
• Connect the pocket tester to the fuel
sender coupler as shown.
Positive tester probe → green 1
Negative tester probe → black 2

• Measure the fuel sender resistances.

9 ~ 11 Ω at 20 °C (68 °F)
Fuel sender resistance

213 ~ 219 Ω at 20 °C (68 °F)
• Is the fuel sender OK?
YES
