TROUBLESHOOTING

The cable control does not activate the coil earth
switch.
The coil earth connection is not cut if the con-
tacts inside the microswitch remain glued
together.
The spark plug is badly connected, faulty or the
electrodes are too far away.
The coil is faulty and does not supply current or
the air gap is too large.
It the machineís battery is discharged, it will not
deliver current.
The alternator could be delivering insufficient
current to keep the battery charged.
The battery could be charged, but have insuffi-
cient capacity.
The electric circuit could be interrupted by slack-
ened-off electrical connections between the bat-
tery and the starter motor or due to inadequate
earthing. The control devices (starter relay and
key) could be defective.
Wear or oxidation of the brushes, presence of oil
on the collector and deterioration of the wind-
ings or rotor prevent the starter motor from
working.

Adjust and/or replace
