FUNCTION SWITCHES
The
LD-V4300D
has
FUNCTION
switches for initialization and
setting of the modes of the player.
These switches are memory switches that can be set directly by
buttons on the player or via remote control unit while observing
the display.
HOW TO SET
Setting Mode of FUNCTION Switch
To set the FUNCTION switch, the player must be set in FUNC-
TION switch setting mode.
Keep the DISPLAY button pressed and switch the power of the
player on. Now you are in FUNCTION switch setting mode.
Switch setting by player's button and via remote
control unit
When the player is set to FUNCTION switch setting mode, the
menu for switch setting will be displayed on the screen.
The switch setting can be made by the button and via remote con-
trol unit while observing the menu.
The menu screen consists of

0 indicates how to set the switch; page 1 shows the contents of
menu screens; pages 2 to 3 are for switch setting; page 4 dis-
plays a list of switches.
(PAGE SELECTION)
Use the SCAN buttons. When the
(t>t>)
button for page-up and
(<J<J)
button for page-down.
(SETTING ITEM SELECTION)
Use the STILL/STEP (OJ[:>) button. When the (u':1[:>) button is
pressed at the switch setting page, the item to be set will be
marked. Press the (u0[:>) button several times until the item you
want to set is marked.
(CHANGE OF SETTING VALUE)
By pressing the STILL/STEP
(<]00)
button, the set value of the
marked setting item will be changed. Display the new set value
on the screen and set the switch.
(INITIAL VALUE SETTING)
By pressing the OPEN/CLOSE (•/
~
) button of the player or the
REJECT button on the remote control unit, all set values can be
initialized.
You can leave the function setting mode by pressing the DIS-
PLAY button. FUNCTION switch contents and TV mode
(PAL/NTSC) are recorded in the memory switch.
The Table below shows a list of buttons and their functions neces-
sary for setting the FUNCTION switches.
