Cleaning
• Remove the mattress and all accessories from the bed.
• The head / foot boards and deck sheets should be removed from the
bed for cleaning.
• Wearing suitable protective clothing, clean all surfaces with a disposable
cloth moistened in hand-hot water and a neutral detergent.
• Start by cleaning the upper sections of the bed and work along all
horizontal surfaces. Work methodically towards the lower sections of the
bed and clean the wheels last. Take extra care to clean areas that may
trap dust or dirt.
• Wipe over with a new disposable cloth moistened with plain water, and
dry with disposable paper towels.
• Allow the cleaned parts to dry before replacing the mattress.
Disinfection
ArjoHuntleigh recommends disinfection using a wipe down approach with a 70%
alcohol solution or bleach 1000 ppm. Although bleach may be used for wipe-
down disinfection, please be aware that if used extensively, discoloration and
fading of the fabrics and labels may occur. Bleach should not be used when
laundering the cover sheet.
Iodophor type disinfectants (e.g. Betadine, etc.) are not
recommended and will stain fabric.
