By using the characteristics of the VHS Hi-Fi sound, this VCR
can be used to record and play back high-quality sound.
Connect an Hi-Fi audio system to the
AUDIO IN OUT L/R
terminals of the VCR.

Set the VCR to the "AV
mode.
Setting the VCR to the "AV" mode
Press the O/AV button once to display "AV" instead of a
channel position number or,
Press the (+ or -) button to display "AV's instead of a
channel position number.
Start the source to be recorded.
Press the
SP/LP
button to select the tape speed.
Press the
REC buttons to start recording.
Playback

Insert a recorded tape in the VCR.
Press the PLAY>
button to start the playback.
If a recording has been made on another VHS Hi-Fi video
recorder, it may be necessary to adjust the playback sound.
Press the
ATR
button to adjust the sound to the optimum
setting.
