NICAM stereo programmed
When a NICAM stereo broadcast is received, the stereo
indicator "ST" illuminates on the VCR display.
When
"AUTO
is selected at the
"NICAM"
line, the stereo
sound is recorded on the Hi-Fi audio tracks, and the normal
(FM mono) sound is recorded on the normal (mono) audio
track.
NICAM
bilingual programmed
When a NICAM bilingual broadcast is received, the bilingual
indicator
"BIL"
illuminates on the VCR display.
When
"AUTO
is selected at the
"NICAM"
line, the NICAM
(A)/(B) sounds are recorded on the Hi-Fi Ieftkight audio tracks,
and the normal (FM mono) sound is recorded on the normal
(mono) audio track.
To record the normal (FM mono) sound on the Hi-Fi audio
tracks, select
"OFF"
at the "NICAM" line when recording.
Depending on the broadcast the recording pattern is as
described in the table.
The audio recording pattern of NICAM broadcasts is set in the
"SYSTEM"
on-screen menu.

Note:
NICAM programmed cannot be recorded on the normal
(mono) audio track. They are only recorded on the Hi-Fi
tracks.
FM SIMULCAST RECORDING
Some television programmed have a simulcast stereo sound
broadcasted by an FM radio station. You can record the
simulcast sound transmitted by the FM radio station and the
picture transmitted by the TV station.
