Final Drive Oil; Maintenance - Honda V45 Magna 1982 Owner's Manual

FINA L DRIVE OIL
Change the oil when specified by the
maintenance sched ule .
NOTE :

Change the oil with the final d rive
warm and the moto rcycle on it s center
stand t o assure complete and rapid
d raining.
1 . To drain the oil , re move the oil filler
cap (I ) and d rain p lug { 2 ) .
2 . After t h e o il has complet e ly draine d ,
che ck that t h e sealing w asher ( 3 ) o n
the d rain plug is in goo d con d ition and
install the drain plug.
Drain Plug Torque :
1 0 - 1 4 N · m ( 1 . 0 - 1 .4 kg-m ,
3 . Fill the final d rive with approximately
1 5 0 cc ( 5 . 1 o z ) of the recommended
o i l .
M a k e sure the recommended o i l i s
filled u p to the lower edge o f the
inspe ction hole ( 4 ).
4. Inst all the oil filler cap .
