Front Suspension

The front suspension of this motorcycle
can provid e the d e sired ride under vario us
rider/ cargo weights and riding conditions
through adjustment of the air pressure

,.,ressure under normal riding conditions is

. Low air pressure settings provide a
softer ride and are for light load s and
smooth road con d ition s . High air p re ssure
settings provide a firmer rid e and are for
J,eavy loads and rough road conditions .

(1) Valve caps
1 . Place the motorcy cle on its center
stand. Do not use the side stand o r
y o u w i l l g e t false pressure readings.
2. Remove the each side of the fron t fork
( I ).

Check the air pressure using the pre s­
sure gauge .
NOTE :

Some pre ssure will be lost w hen re ­
moving the
gauge from the valve .
Determine the amount of loss and
com pen sate accordin gly .
4 . Add air to the recommended p ressure .
Be ce rt ain to adj ust both front forks
to the same air pre ssure .
CAUTION :
* D o n o t exceed 42 psi (300 kPa, 3.0
kg/cm2) or the air pressure gauge m ay
be dam aged.
NOTE :
*
Do not e x ceed the re commende d air
pressure or the ride will be harsh and
unco mfortable .
