che ck for free wheel rotation when
release d .
Other Checks :
Make sure the brake rod , b rake arm ,
spring and fast eners are in goo d con­
dition .
Wear Indicat o r :
W h e n the brake is a p p lie d , a n arrow ( I )
attached t o the brake arm
t o w ard a reference m ark ( 3 ) on the
brake p an e l ( 4 ).
If the arrow align s with the re ferencr
mark on ful l application of the brake ,
the brake shoes must be replace d .
