Before you begin
Ensure you have the iVMS-4200 software version 2.4.2.55 Build 20161209 installed on your
computer. This can be downloaded from the Ness Website.
Before you program your door and room stations ensure you have version 1.4.0 build
170302 or later installed. You can find the firmware version later on during the setup of the
device.
Notes
These steps are based on factory default settings with the devices not yet activated.
It's recommend you setup the door station before setting up the room stations.
Your computer's IP address needs to have the IP address as 192.0.0.xx (eg. 192.0.0.1) while
the system is being setup, otherwise it will have issues communicating to the door station
and room stations.
Only the Wi-Fi room stations (104-829) can be used. You can't use the non Wi-Fi room
stations (104-828 or 104-828B) otherwise you will have video and audio issues.
A maximum of 16 room stations can be used.
(1 Master + 15 Sub Room stations = Total 16 Room Stations)
The Master room station must be connected by LAN to the network so it can talk to the
door station. The Wi-Fi on the master room station will be used to communicate to the sub
room stations. The LAN cable in the master room station will be used to communicate to the
door station.
