RackSwitch G8272 Installation Guide
Use the RJ-45 console cable to connect the RS-232 serial port on the G8272 front
panel to a terminal or a computer running a terminal emulation program. You can
then access the Command-Line Interface (CLI) to perform initial configuration tasks.
The console port terminal-emulation requirements are as follows:
• Default baud rate = 9,600 bps
• Character size = 8 characters
• Parity = none
• Stop bits = 1
• Data bits = 8
• Flow control = none
The switch performs initial self tests, and prompts for the password. For example:
