2. Commands can be abbreviated to their first letter.
3. Numbers are represented in hex notation and must
begin with a numeric digit.
4. The first character typed on a new line identifies
which command is being invoked. If an invalid
character is entered, a
"1"
is displayed, prompt-
ing a new command.

Addresses are specified by an optional segment
number in angle brackets, followed by a hex
address. For exarr.ple, <00>4000 <00>0 <01>F800.
