The MSA ALTAIR 2X display shows "OFF" when the button is pressed and held, and then released while "OFF" is displayed. This is the normal procedure to turn off the device. If the display always shows "OFF", it may indicate that the button is being held too long or there is a malfunction preventing the device from turning on properly.

    Replace battery turn ON If the error occurs during the warranty period, please contact the MSA customer service. Other- wise, the device must be put out of operation. Some errors will show an additional error code number which should be noted and be available when contacting MSA.
