Expansion Card Setup

The SC218G supports the following PCI-Express expansion cards and an expan-
sion card bracket:
One full-height, full-length PCI-E 2.0 (x8) cards
Two full-height, full-length PCI-E 1.0 (x4) cards
One low-profi le PCI-E 2.0 (x8) card

Installing Full-Height, Full-Length Expansion Cards
1. Disconnect the chassis from any power source.
2. Confi rm that you have the correct expansion cards, riser cards and expansion
card bracket for the SC218G chassis.
3. Remove the PCI-E slot covers at the rear of the chassis.
4. Insert the expansion card into the bracket and secure it with the screw pro-
vided. Note: cards up to 10.5" in length are supported.
5. Insert the expansion cards into the riser cards.
6. Simultaneously place the expansion card bracket into the chassis as shown
on the following page, while inserting the riser cards into their appropriate
slots on the serverboard.
7. Secure the expansion card bracket to the chassis with the three screws
provided.
