WHEEL AND TIRES
1. Tire Pressure
Tire pressures should be checked weekly, when the
tires are cold. It is important that corret pressures
be maintained for the bestride, handling and tire wear.
Note:
It is normal for tire pressures to exceed spacifica-
tions when tires are warm. Do not lower tire pressures
in this situation.

If
you
need snow tires, select the same size and
construction as the front tires.
Snow tires should not be operated
at
sustained speeds
over
60 mph

hl. These tires
should always
be
inflated 4 psi (0.3 kg/em') above the recommended
pressures shown on the tire pressure chart, but never
exceed the maximum cold tire pressure
shown on
the
tire sidewall.
Note:
Do not install
studded
tires
without
first
checking
local
regulations
for
possible restrictions.
2. Tire Care
Carefull inspection is recommended at every oil change
and before
long trips. Check for cuts, bruises,
sharp
objects imbedded in the tread, and proper inflation
pressures.
3. Tire Rotation
To
equalize
tread wear,
it is
recommended that the
tires
should
be rotated every 6,250 miles (or
sooner
if irregular wear develops) as indicated in
either
diagram
below and the
same
time checked for
correct
balance.
