Operating Manual for Sea Daze 4788 Bayliner
When the system is on and receiving a signal you may review summary weather reports at any time from the
Chart Plotter application by moving the cursor to the desired point of interest and selecting "weather" from the
drop down menu. This will display the available weather information in a pop up window for the point on the
chart under the cursor.
The SR100 receiver can display the "NowRad" rain radar images as an overlay directly on the chart plotter
screen. This is highly useful to determine rain and fog conditions along a route, or at a destination. The overlay
is normally set to display, however it may be toggled on or off and transparency levels adjusted from the display
options menu in the chart plotter.
For additional detailed weather information displayed on a graphical chart you can use the Ray Marine Weather
application. The weather application is normally preloaded and running on the E7 display (the smaller touch
screen to starboard of the PH helm) The weather application displays a simplified chart of the area of interest
with weather symbols and icons shown directly on that chart. Icons on the chart show locations of weather
stations and buoys that will provide detailed localized reports when clicked on with the cursor. Wind direction
and strength indicators, hi-low pressure indicators and storm tracks may also be presented on the chart and if
clicked on these symbols will display additional detailed information. If a GPS fix is active your current
position will be displayed as an icon on this chart as reference to your position relative to the weather
conditions.

3.4.4 GPS and Chart Plotters

Sea Daze has redundant independent navigation chart plotters and GPS systems:
1) The primary navigation system is the Raymarine E127 Multi Function Device (MFD) with built in GPS
and Wi-Fi Smartphone remote viewing capability. This unit is mounted in the port side Pilot House
Helm.
2) The Raymarine E7 Multi Function Device (MFD) is configured for data and weather display, however it
includes a built in GPS receiver that may be used as a backup chart plotter. The E7 is mounted in the
starboard side Pilot House Helm.

The Integrated Navigation System

The E127 MFD is the backbone of the Sea Daze Navionics and performs network integration for all other
devices. This system incorporates a built in GPS receiver, built in depth sounder, collects and distributes
information for the autopilot, provides GPS coordinates to the SR100 Weather receiver and DSC radio,
provides waypoint information to the radar, feeds digital data to a set of Raymarine i70 Digital Data displays
and a Raymarine E7 MFD.
The E127 and E7 include a Wi-Fi connectivity that can be used to display information on your personal
Smartphone or tablet device. This may allow the skipper, or another crew member to monitor and manage
course, speed and depth or other information such as weather reports from any location in the boat.
To use this feature you will need to download and install the free Ray Control / Ray Remote app from Raymarine
and log onto the Sea Daze Wi-Fi network from your mobile device. The apps are available from the Apple App
store Amazon, or Google.
The "Sea Daze" network is available when the E127 MFD is on. The network ID is "Sea Daze" and the Pass
Code is "Sea Daze"
The "Sea Daze II" network is available when the E7 MFD is on. The network ID is "Sea Daze II" and the Pass
Code is "Sea Daze II"
