  • Page 4 The smoke generator requires the periodic addition of Lionel smoke fluid in order to function properly. Follow the steps below to add smoke fluid. We strongly recommend that you add smoke fluid using a needle applicator (available at your local hardware or hobby store).

  • Page 5: Switching Your Smoke Generator On Or Off

    Switching your smoke generator ON or OFF s illustrated in Figure 3, the SMOKE switch is located on the underside of your caboose. Sliding this switch to the SMK position will activate the smoke generator. Be sure that you have added smoke fluid when the switch is in the SMK position. Slide the switch to the NO SMK position to turn off the smoke unit.
  • Page 6 Slide the switch to the OFF position if you prefer to run the caboose without lighting. Replacing the LEDs our caboose is lighted by five LEDs. These LEDs are designed to last the life of your car; however, if they require replacement please contact your authorized Lionel Service center.

In the event the defective product cannot be repaired, and a suitable replacement is not available, Lionel will offer to replace the product with a comparable model (determined by Lionel LLC), if available.
