You can try the following steps to fix the Mitel 6920 phone if it is stuck on the headset option:

1. Switch to Handset: Lift the handset to switch from the headset to the handset.
2. Switch to Speakerphone: Press the speakerphone button to toggle between the headset and speakerphone.
3. Check Audio Mode Settings:
- Press the settings button on the phone to enter the Options List.
- Navigate to Audio > Audio Mode and adjust the settings as needed.
4. Ensure Headset is Disconnected: If using a wireless headset, the phone may still detect it as active. Try disconnecting or turning off the headset.
5. Reset the Phone: If the issue persists, restart the phone to reset its audio settings.

If none of these steps work, consider taping down the hang-up button (as one user mentioned) to force the phone to recognize the handset.
