Installing the camera anti-reflection shroud
Supplied with your aircraft is a anti-reflection shroud. The shroud is used to minimize any unwanted
reflections from the camera housing onto the dome.
1. Remove the gimbal/camera from the supplied travel case and the shroud from the shipping bag.
3. Unscrew the cameras lens and fit the shroud over the lens ensuring that the cut out aligns with the
gimbal motor. Refit the camera lens.
If you have purchased the Pro Filter lens pack you will have an additional shroud designed
specifically for those filters.
Installing the camera Micro-SD card
Before using the camera you need to install a Micro-SD card. A UHS-1 type Micro-SD card is
recommended. The maximum capacity supported is 64GB. The Micro-SD card should be inserted into
a slot in the side of the camera.
Do not remove Micro-SD card from the gimbal when it is powered on.
ND Filter
ND filters can be installed onto the front of the camera to reduce over-exposure and "jello" effects.
Installing the gimbal/camera
1. Remove gimbal dust cap from the gimbal and aircraft.
2. Rotate the gimbal lock on the aircraft to the unlocked position.
3. Insert the gimbal by aligning the white mark on the Gimbal and the aircraft.
4. Rotate the gimbal lock back into the locked position.
5. To remove the gimbal simply reverse the process.
Place the aircraft upside down (on its back) to aid installing the gimbal.
Removing the rear hatch door
The rear hatch has a removable door which is held in place via six quick release, quarter turn clips. A
neoprene foam seal seated around the door keeps the hatch watertight.
To open the hatch turn each retaining clip a quarter turn anti-clockwise. To close simply turn the clip a
quarter turn clockwise.
Adjusting the rear hatch clips
In order to maintain a watertight seal to the rear hatch you will first need to adjust the clips so they
apply even pressure around the neoprene seal. Holding the clip in the closed position, use the
supplied hex Key to tighten or loosen the clip as required.
