» eSATA: OS X 10.3-10.11.6 | macOS 10.12 or later
» FireWire: OS X 10.2-10.11.6 | macOS 10.12 or later
» USB 3.1 Gen 1 (supports USB 2.0): OS X 10.6-10.11.6 | macOS 10.12 later

» eSATA: Windows XP or later
» FireWire: Windows XP or later
» USB 3.1 Gen 1 (supports USB 2.0): Windows XP or later

1.1.3 Supported Hard Drives

» Up to four 3.5" SATA drives (1.5Gb/s, 3.0Gb/s, or 6.0Gb/s)
» Identical model drives are required for all RAID modes. Clear RAID
(Independent) and Combine (SPAN) do not require identical drives.
