OPERATING THE TOOL

METHODS OF OPERATION

Precision Placement Driving
1. Grasp the tool handle firmly and hold the bottom
of the work contacting element firmly against the
workpiece until it is completely depressed.
2. Squeeze the trigger to drive the fastener.
3. Lift the tool from the workpiece.
4. Repeat the procedure for the next fastener.
Successive Bump Fire (Multi-Fire) Driving
1. Grasp the handle firmly.
2. Squeeze the trigger and move the tool along the
workpiece with a bouncing motion, depressing the
work contacting element at the points where you want
to insert a fastener.
3. Keep the trigger depressed and continue to bounce
the work contacting element against the workpiece,
positioning the tool as above as carefully as possible.
4. When the desired number of fasteners have been
driven, release the tool trigger to avoid unintentional
fastener discharge.
Sequential Operation
1. The sequential operating prevents successive or
"bounce" driving.
2. Depress the work contacting element and hold it
against the work surface before pulling the trigger.
3. After each fastener is driven, completely release the
trigger and lift the tool from the work surface.
ƒ Caution: do not carry tool with trigger
depressed. This could result in accidental
firing of the tool.
