Tips for Fingertip Sampling
1. Select fingertip. Clean area with soap and warm
water, rinse or use an approved disinfectant to clean
the area. Dry thoroughly.
2. Lance finger.
3. To help blood drop form, lower the hand to a level
below the heart and gently massage the finger from
palm to fingertip. Allow the blood drop to form
before attempting to apply the test strip. Apply sample
to Sample Tip.
4. Discard all biohazard materials into appropriate
container. Wash hands after taking off gloves.
