Step 2: (Drawout breakers) Once both latches are released
the inner cradle can be compressed until the tool slot is
visible. Insert a screwdriver vertically into the slot to hold
the inner cradle in place and improve arc chute access. On
the RF frame, repeat Steps 1 and 2 on the second contact
assembly.

Step 3: Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the four top-
inserted mounting screws from each arc chute.

Section 7: Inspection and maintenance
Step 4: Lift the arc chute up and out of the arc chamber.

Step 5: Follow the same procedure to remove the remaining
two arc chutes.
Step 6: Inspect the arc chutes for obvious damage and turn
them over to inspect the inside for obvious damage or dirt
accumulation. Series NRX arc chutes cannot be replaced.
If damage or dirt accumulation is observed, contact Eaton
for additional information.
