IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Before starting to use the air-conditioner, please read all the
instructions. Keep this manual carefully.
1.
Install the air-conditioner in a place which is inaccessible to
children.
2.
Do not use the air-conditioner out-of-doors.
3.
Place the air-conditioner upright on a firm, even surface.
Make sure it is standing securely so that it cannot fall over or off.
Water can damage furniture and floor coverings.
4.
Unwind the cable completely. If the cable is not completely
unwound, it can overheat and could start a fire.
5.
Do not use an extension cable or an adjustable speed controller.
This could cause overheating, fire or an electric shock.
6.
Attach the air-condioner only to a single-phase AC supply with
the same voltage as that given on the rating label. Warning:
The air-conditioner must not be connected to an electric circuit of
more than 0.4582 ohm. If necessary, please consult your power
supplier.
7.
Always unplug the air-conditioner if it is not in use, or before it is
touched, moved, or cleaned. Do not pull at the cable to unplug
the appliance.
8.
Do not point the air-vent (2) directly at people, walls or objects.
9.
The air-conditioner operates best at a room temperature of
between 17°C and 35°C in the operational modes „COOL" and
„DRY". Above or below this temperature zone there can be
operational disturbances in this mode.
10. Do not use the air-conditioner anywhere near inflammable gases
or materials, near an open fire, or where oil and water could
splash. Make sure that the air-conditioner is not exposed to direct
sunlight. Do not use the air-conditioner in a hothouse, or near a
bathtub, shower or swimming-pool.
11. Check that the air vents (8) (in) and (2) (out) are opened before
the air-conditioner is switched on. The air-conditioner must not
stand behind curtains or other objects or obstacles which could
restrict the circulation of air. Make sure that no objects can get
into the air-vent in(8) or out (2), as this could lead to overheating,
fire or electric shock.
12. Do not remove the water tank (5) while the air-conditioner is
switched on.
13. Do not unplug the air-conditioner while it is switched on.
First press the power-switch (13) to the OFF position.
14. Wait for 3 to 5 minutes after switching the air-conditioner off,
before switching it back on.
15. Do not immerse the air-conditioner in water or any other fluid
and do not pour water or any other fluid over the appliance or
into the air-vents (8) and (2).
16. Clean the air-conditioner regularly, following the instructions in
the manual.
17. If the power cable of the air-conditioner is damaged, it must be
repaired by a workshop approved by the manufacturer, as
special tools are required.
18. Always transport the air-conditioner upright. If this is not possible,
lay the appliance on its side and return it to its upright position
as soon as you arrive at your destination. After each transport
wait for at least 60 minutes before using the appliance.
19. Do not use this air-conditioner if it is damaged or shows any
signs of damage or is not working correctly. Unplug the
appliance from the power supply.

FIRST TIME OF USE

1.
Before starting to use the air-conditioner, please read all the
instructions.
2.
Unpack the air-conditioner and power cable, remove all
packaging materials and dispose of them in an environmentally
friendly manner.
3.
Place the air-conditioner on a firm, even surface as water can
damage furniture and floor coverings. Make sure it is standing
securely, so that it cannot fall over or off. A safety distance of at
least 50 cm must be maintained between the air-conditioner and
other objects (Fig.1). Make sure that the waste-air tube (10) is
firmly fixed for the „COOL" operational mode.

WATER DISPOSAL

There are two ways of emptying the water out of the air-conditioner.
Water tank 5.5 liter
1.
When the water tank (5) is full, the control light (14) comes on.
The dehumidifying mode is automatically interrupted, but
the fan continues to run.
2.
Make sure that the power switch (13) is in the OFF position.
Unplug the appliance. Wait for about 30 minutes before
removing the water tank (5), so that the rest of the water can
drain.
3.
Pull the water tank (5) out carefully and empty the water.
4.
Now push the water tank (5) back into position. Check that
it is pushed in completely. The control light (14) goes out.
5.
If the control light (14) does note go out, pull the water tank (5)
out again.
6.
Check that the protective cover and swimmer (6) are installed
correctly.
7.
The protective cover and swimmer (6) must not be removed,
because otherwise the automatic interruption of the drying mode
in modes "COOL" and "DRY" cannot be guaranteed.
Overflowing water can damage objects and floor coverings or
cause an electric shock.
8.
Replace the water tank (5) again, as described in Step 4.
9.
The air-conditioner resumes working automatically after a delay
of about 3 minutes after the remounting of the water tank.
External water disposal
If you wish to install external water disposal, please not the following
instructions:
1.
Make sure that the power switch (13) is in the OFF position.
Unplug the appliance.
2.
Remove the cover (26) of the water tube opening (7) from the
water tank.
3.
Push the water tube (27) through the opening (7) in the water
tank, push the water tank (5) in completely and put the free end
of the water tube into a container (e.g. a bucket). Remove the
plastic plug (28) before using the water tube (27) (Fig. 2).
