Step
6.
Create a site for the VPLS instance.
Resetting VPLS BGP connections
When the BGP routing policy or protocol is changed, reset BGP connections in a VPLS to make the new
configurations take effect to the VPLS connections.
To reset VPLS BGP connections, perform the following task in user view:
Task
Reset a specific VPLS BGP connection or all VPLS BGP
connections.
Binding a service instance with a VPLS instance
To bind a service instance with a VPLS instance, create the service instance on a Layer 2 Ethernet
interface or Layer 2 aggregate interface, configure a packet matching rule for the service instance, and
then bind the service instance with the VPLS instance. After these configurations, packets that arrive at the
interface and match the packet matching rule are forwarded by the bound VPLS instance. A service
instance supports multiple types of packet matching rules (such as matching all packets received on the
port, packets carrying the specified VLAN tags, all tagged packets, and all packets with no VLAN tags),
providing a more flexible VPLS instance access control. Use this method when users connected to a VLAN
interface belong to different VPNs. For more information about service instances, see Layer 2—LAN
Switching Configuration Guide.
To bind a service instance with a VPLS instance:
Step
1.
Enter system view.
2.
Enter the view of the Layer 2
Ethernet interface or Layer 2
aggregate
connected to a CE.
3.
Create a service instance and
enter its view.
4.
Configure a packet matching
rule for the service instance.
5.
Associate the service instance
with a VPLS instance.
