To use the voice recognition system for navigation
function, say the command to change to the
navigation function first. (→P.257)
• This function is available when "Voice Language

If the system does not respond or the confirmation screen does

not disappear, press the talk switch and try again.
Selecting Voice Settings (Voice Settings) can be displayed

the "Voice Settings (Voice Settings)" screen. (→P.196)
• "Voice Recognition Prompts (Voice Recognition Prompts)" can
be set on the "Voice Settings (Voice Settings)" screen.
• Some voice guidance can be canceled by setting voice
prompts to off. Use this setting when it is desirable to say a
command immediately after pressing the talk switch and
hearing a beep.
Turn the "POWER/VOLUME" knob, or use the volume control

switch on the steering wheel to adjust the speech guidance
volume.
The system's voice recognition function cannot be used while
l
using Siri. Start the voice recognition function after exiting Siri.

Press the talk switch.

Say "Play song <name>".
● A confirmation screen will be displayed showing
the recognition result, and the system starts playing
music.
● If multiple matching items are found, a selection
screen will be displayed. Say "<number>" or select
the number. The system then starts playing music.
NOTE
The Gracenote database is only compatible with the SD*, USB

or iPod mode.

An SD card*, USB memory or iPod must be connected to enable

track searching and playback. (→P.41, 42)

recognition data is created so tracks can be searched using
voice commands.
