Placing the Chain in the Vise
Setting the Chain Stop
Put the chain in the vise (10)
Slide a chain cutter up against the chain stop (8)
Move the grinding wheel onto the cutter to
be sharpened by pulling the motor unit (A)
downwards with the operating handle (1)

Turn the chain-stop adjustment knob (7) to
move the chain so that the cutter cutting edge
skims the grinding wheel The chain should
run freely over the vise (10) throughout this
procedure but without any clearance
Raise the motor unit (A) with the operating handle (1)
Turn the chain-stop adjustment knob (7)
clockwise, to slightly move the cutter to
be sharpened further forwards
