Configuration Tool. After creating the RAID array, create
a simple volume.
Caution
• This document describes settings for RAID5+ hot
spare. Be sure to install at least five HDDs on the unit
beforehand.
• The procedure described in this section must be
performed regardless of the number of HDDs installed
on the unit.
• This document describes creation of a single simple
volume. The number of simple volumes will vary
depending on your operating environment. For details,
refer to NVMS Enterprise Edition System Design
Requirements.
Logging into RAID Configuration Tool

Double-click the RAID Configuration Tool icon on
the desktop.

Click [Ask me later].
The login screen for RAID Configuration Tool
appears.

Enter the user name and password, and click [Login].
Note
The default user name and password are as follows.
– User Name: administrator
– Password: password
Caution
Be sure to change the default user name and
password.

Click [Continue to this website (not recommended)].
If a RAID array has not been created, the array
configuration screen will appear, regardless of
whether HDDs have been installed. The home screen
will appear in all other cases.

Changing the password

Open [Home] - [Subsystems] - [localhost] -
[Administrative Tools] in the RAID Configuration
Tool screen's tree list, and click [User Management].

Click the [Password] tab.

Enter a password, and click [Submit].
Enter the current password in [Old Password], and
enter the new password twice.
Caution
Do not forget your password. If you forget the
password you configured, you will not be able to log
in or change the password.
