Exterior mirror parking position*
To make it easier to park, the exterior mir-
ror on the front-passenger side moves into
the parking position as soon as you engage
reverse gear.
You can only use this parking aid if you
have previously stored the parking position
for the exterior mirror on the front-passen-
ger side using the memory function
( page 239).

1 To select the right or left-hand exterior
mirror

3 M memory button
Make sure that the key is in position 2
in the ignition lock.
Make sure that the "Lower mirror when
reversing" function is switched on in
the "Exterior-mirror convenience set-
ting" submenu in COMAND.
Engage reverse gear.
Press button 1 repeatedly until the
front-passenger exterior mirror is se-
lected.
The exterior mirror on the front-pas-
senger side moves to the stored park-
ing position.
The exterior mirror on the front-passenger
side moves back to its original position:
as soon as you exceed a speed of
10 km/h
about ten seconds after reverse gear is
deselected
if you press button 1 for the driver's
exterior mirror

If you adjust the exterior mirror while it is in
the parking position, this new position will be
stored as the new parking position.
