Troubleshooting
1) To copy files to the SDHC/MMC+ card ( In windows 2000 or XP )
The norflash.bin is copied in the uppermost folder of the SDHC/MMC+ card irrespective of the model type

( NTSC or PAL).
Insert the SDHC/MMC+ card to the camcorder.

2) How to update
[Step 1]
Turn the camcorder on.
q
Select the Video Record mode.

[Step 2]
Press the EASY Q button and LCD Wide(▲) button around for 5 second at the same time.

If the Admin mode indicator as you see at the picture 4-4 is on the monitor,

select theFlash Update by adjusting the UP/DOWN button and press the OK button.
Flash Updating message come up on the monitor as you see at the Fig 4-4 shows the

updating is in process. Please make sure that the camcorder is turned on. If the message
disappears and the Admin mode screen appears again on the monitor, it means that the update
is finished successfully.
[Step 3]
It will restart automatically after the update is finished.

3) Troubleshooting
a) When the SDHC/MMC+ fails to be recognized.
Remove the SDHC/MMC+ and turn the power off and on.

Then enter the Admin mode as you see at page 3-2.
Insert the SDHC/MMC+ card and change the mode to the external memory mode.

Go on from the 2) in [STEP 2].

b) When it fails to copy the files.
When the file name is incorrect - norflash.bin
q
When the SDHC/MMC+ card is removed from the PC before the file copy process is completed.

- Please make sure that the message to notify that the removal is allowed comes up on the
monitor before trying detachment.
Note : "EEPROM all initial" should be performed at the presence of controlling unit against the
possibility of whole setting is being default.
