The guidelines below will help ensure that your ActivBoard system and projector are used
safely at all times.
The projector used on the ActivBoard System is a Class I device and must be earthed. Only
connect the Activboard System to an earthed socket.
The AC outlet must be near the ActivBoard System and be easily accessible.
The AC power cord must meet the requirements of your country, if the supplied cord does
not match your outlet, contact your Promethean reseller.
Equipment should be operated by authorized personnel only.
Children and students working at the board should be supervised at all times.
Take extra care when working around the ActivBoard System as parts of the projector and
projector arm may be at or below the users' head height.
Ensure no items are placed under the system at any time (ie. whilst in use or otherwise).
When the system is not in use , ensure the projector is above head height. Minimum height
for the Mobile System.Do not apply any additional forces or add weight to the projector or
projector boom arm.
Your projector emits a beam of concentrated light. Do not stare at the beam for any length
of time.
For optimal performance of your projector, please refer to the instruction manual supplied
with the projector.
For optimal performance of the ActivBoard, please refer to the Installation and User Guide
supplied with the ActivBoard.
No unauthorized modifications or additions are to be made to the ActivBoard system.
Mobile System:
Lower and raise the projector with caution for movement between doorways/locations.
Ensure ActivBoard is in the lowest position prior to movement and all cables are secure.
Confirm wheels and stabilisers are locked and in position before use.
Two people should move and relocate the ActivBoard Mobile System. Take extra care over
sloping or uneven surfaces.
Promethean recommends a copy of this page is mounted next to the wall-mounted
ActivBoard Systems.
