Engine
- Heat a new main bearing in an oil bath at 120°.
- Place the driving shaft on the support base and
insert the bearing with the aid of an adequate piece
of tube if necessary.

USE A NEW BEARING WHEN REFITTING
WARNING
THE CENTRIFUGAL OIL FILTER IS IN THE FLYWHEEL
AXLE SHAFT. DO NOT WASH WITH SOLVENTS OR BLOW
COMPRESSED AIR SO THAT NO IMPURITIES LEAK OUT.

Inspecting the crankshaft alignment
To install the crankshaft on the support and to
measure the misalignment in the 4 points indicated
in figure.
N.B.
IF VALUES OTHER THAN THOSE ALLOWED ARE DETEC-
TED, TRY STRAIGHTENING THE CRANKSHAFT BY IN-
SERTING A WOODEN WEDGE BETWEEN THE HALF
SHAFTS OR BY CLOSING THEM WITH A VICE AS NEE-
DED. IF EVEN AFTER THIS OPERATION THE VALUES ARE
NOT THOSE ADMITTED, REPLACE THE CRANKSHAFT.

0.10 mm
- Check that the driving shaft cone, the tab seat, the oil seal capacity, the toothed gear and the threaded
tangs are in good working order.
- In case of failures, replace the crankshaft.
