Setting the ring delay

The answering machine has already been
preset at the factory. Individual settings can
be adjusted using the handset.
You can set the number of rings the tele-
phone will wait before the answering
machine answers a call.

Use the control key to select the
number of rings and press
Possible values:
1 rings, ((müßte "1 ring"
heißen)) 3 rings, 6 rings, 9 rings
or Auto.
Remote operation
You can check and activate your answering
machine from any other telephone (hotel,
pay phone etc.),.
Requirements:

You have set a system PIN other than

0000 ( page 42).

The phone you are using for remote oper-
ation has tone dialling (DTMF), i.e. you
hear different tones when you press the
keys. Alternatively, you can use a code
transmitter (available from a retailer).
Calling the answering
machine
~
Dial the number. The announce-
ment will be played.
When the announcement is finished, you
can record a message or begin remote
access.

Press any key to skip the announcement.
If the answering machine memory is full, the
message "Memory Full" will be announced
after the 10th ring.
