Step Description
3 The PPC (home agent) applies the HTTP Redirection Rule for the HTTP traffic. All other traffic is dropped. During this
period, the MS is recharged from the portal.
4 The PPC sends updated quota attributes to the AAA server based on the MS recharge from the portal.
5 The AAA server sends a CoA message to the PPC (home agent) with the new quota attributes in PPAQ and also sends the
HTTP Redirection Rule to clear the HTTP Redirection rule at the PPC.
6 Normal traffic, including HTTP traffic, is allowed, per the new quota attributes.
Terminating the Call when Quota is Reached
The following figure and table provide a high-level view of the steps involved in allocating additional quotas for prepaid
calls once the original quota is reached.
