Getting to know your
Ceiling Fan
Congratulations on the purchase of your new Ceiling
Fan by Mistral.
Before first using your new Ceiling Fan, it is most
important that you read and follow the instructions
in this use and care booklet, even if you feel you are
familiar with this type of appliance.
Your attention is drawn particularly to the section
dealing with IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS. Find a safe
and convenient place to keep this booklet handy for
future reference.
This appliance has been designed to operate from a
standard domestic power outlet. It is not intended
for industrial or commercial use.
Installation of your
Ceiling Fan
Note: All ceiling fans must be installed by
a Qualified electrical contractor
Hangsure Installation
Note: The bracket must be able to support
at least the hanging weight of the fan (15kg).
To ensure earthing continuity, the downrod
securing screw must be firmly tightened on the
lower canopy.
1. Fix the bracket (supplied) to the ceiling joist
by means of two coach screws (not supplied)
or similar.

2. Hang the ball joint and Ceiling Fan onto the
bracket, making sure the guide pin of the bracket
fits into the slot of the ball joint and all wires
from the downrod are clear of the ball joint.
On cathedral ceilings, the slot is to point in the
direction of the incline.
