Lead Compensation Measurement
Compensation mode is used to compensate the leads resistance in 2-Wire mea-
surement and is possible in MANUAL or AUTO mode.
In State 2 (during a measurement), lead compensation is not possible.
Short-circuit the measurement leads.
Start the measurement by pressing the
button.
This measurement stops after having received a stable result.

measured. All subsequent measurements with 2-Wire will then use this compen-
sation (2-Wire DC, 2-Wire AC in earth coupling). Compensation is used until the
instrument is switched off or the compensation value is erased.
NOTE: If the compensation resistance is > 5W, or in the event that the leads are
not shorted when starting the measurement, the value of compensation will be
canceled and the

At the start of the measurement:
The instrument measures U
(4-Wire measurement).
The instrument will perform a voltage check (see § 4.2.1).
If an AC or DC voltage >42Vrms is detected at the terminals, the measure-
ment is stopped.
During the measurement:

NOTE: If the measurement is unstable or if the measurement results are incon-
sistent, trigger the measurement again to check that the problem is not a faulty
