Alarms located in bedrooms and rooms far away from combustion
devices
In rooms located far away from combustion devices, the carbon monoxide has
already cooled to room temperature. Due to the fact that CO has nearly the
same density as air, it distributes uniformly in the air. Consider the following
points:
In bedrooms and in rooms which are located far away from combustion
devices, the devices should be at the breathing level of the occupants
(e.g. "desk level" at the bed-side table in bedrooms and "eye level" in
living rooms).
Make sure there is sufficient spacing to the ceiling as well as to corners
and furnishings (min. 200 mm).
