REPEAT
This command is used for benchmarking operations. It causes the subsequent
operations specified to be performed the specified number of times. Statistics showing
elapsed time and messages per second are displayed.
Syntax:
REPEAT <repeat count>
Example 1: How to test repeating access attempts
$SYSTEM XYGATEDP 16> run xygatedp explain
XYGATEDP XYPRO Technology Corporation \N1
DPCONF CHECKSUM 1750165851 ($SYSTEM.XYGATEDP.DPCONF)
DPACL CHECKSUM 1043931211 ($SYSTEM.XYGATEDP.dpacl)
Explain mode on
Access check:repeat 2
Access check (00002):encrypt encryptedfile $SYSTEM.xdptest.encrfile
$SYSTEM.XYGATEDP.wr
Objecttype = 00098 (ENCRYPTEDFILE) for $SYSTEM.XDPTEST.ENCRFILE
Operation = 00312 (OPEN) Modifier = 00002 (ENCRYPT)
Subject 232,044 QA.TST Requestor $NONE $SYSTEM.XYGATEDP.WR
DPGROUP GUARDIAN Requestor 00003 matched ^\$SYSTEM\.XYGATEDP\..*$
DPGROUP GUARDIAN Mask 00001 matched ^\$SYSTEM\.XDPTEST\.ENCRFILE$
DPGROUP GUARDIAN Selection criteria satisfied
DPGROUP GUARDIAN User(001)/access(001) found
DPGROUP GUARDIAN Access YES
DPGROUP GUARDIAN Result converted to NORECORD due to warning mode
DPGROUP GUARDIAN Replying with access NORECORD
Objecttype = 00098 (ENCRYPTEDFILE) for $SYSTEM.XDPTEST.ENCRFILE
Operation = 00312 (OPEN) Modifier = 00002 (ENCRYPT)
Subject 232,044 QA.TST Requestor $NONE $SYSTEM.XYGATEDP.WR
DPGROUP GUARDIAN Requestor 00003 matched ^\$SYSTEM\.XYGATEDP\..*$
DPGROUP GUARDIAN Mask 00001 matched ^\$SYSTEM\.XDPTEST\.ENCRFILE$
DPGROUP GUARDIAN Selection criteria satisfied
DPGROUP GUARDIAN User(001)/access(001) found
DPGROUP GUARDIAN Access YES
DPGROUP GUARDIAN Result converted to NORECORD due to warning mode
DPGROUP GUARDIAN Replying with access NORECORD
Elapsed time
Messages per second = 21
Access result - YES using DPGROUP GUARDIAN
Example 1 above performs an evaluation of the ENCRYPT request for the file
$SYSTEM.XDPTEST.ENCRFILE two times and then prints the number of
microseconds elapsed while XDP evaluates the results. It also calculates how many
requests per second XDP handled, in this case "21".
Example 2 below shows how using REPEAT by itself will turn it off.
Example 2: How to turn off repeating access attempts
Access check (00002):REPEAT
Repeat count cleared
Access check:
