2-5. VIDEO SYSTEM ADJUSTMENTS
Note1: Check that the data of page: 0, address: 10 is "00". If not, set data:
00 to this address.
Note2: NTSC model : HVR-M10J/M10U/M10N
PAL model : HVR-M10E/M10P/M10C
Note3: Perform the adjustments in both modes, i.e. NTSC(60i) mode and
PAL(50i) mode. (Except for "COMPONENT OUTPUT Level
Adjustment".)
NTSC(60i) mode:
Set the 60i/50i SEL (OTHERS menu) to "60i".
PAL(50i) mode:
Set the 60i/50i SEL to "50i".
After completing the adjustments, reset the 60i/50i SEL to the
following position.
"60i" (HVR-M10J/M10U/M10N), "50i" (HVR-M10E/M10P/
M10C)
Switch setting:
DISP OUTPUT (OTHERS menu) .................... LCD PANEL
Order of Adjustments:
1) Origin Oscillation Check (NTSC(60i) and PAL(50i) mode)
2) S VIDEO OUT Y Level Adjustment (NTSC(60i) mode)
3) S VIDEO OUT Chroma Level Adjustment (NTSC(60i) mode)
4) VIDEO OUT Y, Chroma Level Check (NTSC(60i) mode)
5) COMPONENT OUTPUT Level Adjustment
(NTSC(60i) mode: HVR-M10J/M10U/M10N, PAL(50i) mode:
HVR-M10E/M10P/M10C)
6) E-E Level Check (NTSC(60i) mode)
7) S VIDEO OUT Y Level Adjustment (PAL(50i) mode)
8) S VIDEO OUT Chroma Level Adjustment (PAL(50i) mode)
9) VIDEO OUT Y, Chroma Level Check (PAL(50i) mode)
10) E-E Level Check (PAL(50i) mode)

1. Origin Oscillation Check (VC-367 board)
Check the frequency of the clock for synchronization.
If deviated, the synchronization will be disrupted and the color will
become inconsistent.
Note1: Origin oscillation frequency:
80.9090MHz .................. (NTSC(60i) mode)
80.1000MHz .................. (PAL(50i) mode)
